Save the date for the first CONSIDER Webinar!
The first webinar "Valorisation of industrial heritage, challenges and opportunities" hosted by the Ruhr University Bochum will take place online on the 19th of May 2022 between 17.00-19.00 (CET). The webinar will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Stefan Berger, who is a professor for social history and the director of the Institute for Social Movement at the Ruhr University Bochum.
In this webinar, Prof. Dr. Heike Oevermann will be a keynote speaker with her lecture “Valorisation of the landscape production” to discuss assessment tools for developing a sustainable management model for industrial heritage sites. Prof. Dr. Heike Oevermann is one of the best-known experts in urban and industrial heritage studies. She has coordinated various research projects on heritage sites (see for example, the DFG research project “Converting historic textile-industry complexes in European cities (2018- 2021)”). Some of her publications include: Oevermann (2021): Urban Textile Mills: Conservation and Conversion, Oevermann (2019): Good practice for industrial heritage sites: systematization, indicators, and case, Oevermann & Mieg (2015): Industrial Heritage Sites in Transformation. She is a member of the Theory and Teaching of Monument Conservation Working Group TICCIH and ICOMOS.
